A Welder is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and repairing metal structures and components using various welding techniques and equipment. The role requires precision, technical knowledge, and strict adherence to safety standards to ensure strong and durable welds in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
- Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
- Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness and quality standards are met.
- Repair metal components and structures as needed.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
