A Metal Fabricator is responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing metal components used in construction, manufacturing, and industrial projects. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings to produce high-quality metal structures and parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, bend, shape, and assemble metal materials according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and measurements to determine project requirements.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, grinders, and cutting tools.
- Perform welding, grinding, and finishing work to ensure structural integrity and product quality.
- Measure and mark metal materials to ensure accurate cuts and assembly.
- Inspect finished components to verify dimensions, alignment, and quality standards.
- Maintain and perform basic servicing of fabrication tools and machinery.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to meet project deadlines.
